About Us

Hi I'm Rob and with my Wife Helen, we've launched our new business 'Ashfield Colours' Painting and Decorating. We live in Upper Cumberworth with our two children Izzy and Tom and have been in the HD8 area for most of our lives. 

So why start your own business now? Well, I'm 47 years old and after almost 20 years working in the corporate brand world for Nike Inc, I was made redundant late last year. I've always enjoyed working in and around brand design teams and been lucky enough to collaborate on some truly amazing global campaigns, starting with a blank canvas, building the key concept, planning the construction and finally seeing it brought to life.

We've been painting and decorating on a part time basis for private customers for some years, doing those jobs that most modern day families and professionals just don't have time to do, whether that's a room refresh or a bigger renovation project.

We decided that now was the perfect time to do something different, something we've wanted to do for a long time and something we really enjoy.
